These are what I have of the two BIRTH! releases prior to his "I Will" album on CD via Realicide Youth Records at the start of 2010. Unedited, ripped direct from CDr's Doug gave me back when they were recorded. Trax 1-5 are from "The New Death" 2008 demo, and trax 6-12 from "This Head Is For Burning" cassette released by Universal Consciousness in 2009 (B cide was a live radio performance, I need to recover that still) If anyone has better sound quality files from these, please get in touch and we'll switch them out. I am currently searching for other burned discs from Doug during our years touring and living together, and will add anything better I find to this archive collection. The homie died one week ago and like most people who knew him from so many cherished misadventures, I'm still coming to terms with the news. Meanwhile I've been mailing BIRTH! posters and CD's to any of his friends who ask, as it's all I know how to do right now. This download is free, but any donations made will go towards postage in distributing copies of his music to those of us who need something to hold onto. If you're in Denver, I'll be at his funeral later this month, and if you're in Los Angeles, I miss you and really want to visit. Anyway, heckle your local goth DJ until they play my dude's songs, then steal a hipster's beer at the bar and wild out like a deathrock maniac til they physically remove you.
