about

...recorded by Robert Inhuman. Yep, this kind of bootleg is very outdated, just did it coz I would've thought self-recording the show was extremely cool when I was a teenager. This was also at Bogart's on Short Vine, which is significant in a couple ways. Personally, as it's where I went to my first bigger show, KMFDM (with PIG opening) in 1997. I probably didn't even know what Ogre looked like yet, so I had no idea until later that he was the really weird guy who came out for one song. But more famously, it's where Skinny Puppy got arrested during their VIVIsectVI "Head Trauma" tour in 1988. This would be around the time themes of animal rights, in partial anti-vivisection, became predominant in their theatrics (which was how I first learned of vivisection, only seeing Plague Dogs many years later) Anyway, being Cincinnati, the cultural mecca that it is, somebody who clearly knew nothing about the band (or betrayed by drugs?) thought the fake dog being operated on was real, and apparently called the police (...whoever that was clearly sucked) The story goes they got busted for weed or talking back or something trivial, and spent a night in jail. Guess that would've been Hamilton County "Justice" Center downtown, where decades later I'd end up for direct action against Proctor & Gamble, the massive corporation tied to environmental destruction in the Canadian Boreal, decimation of indigenous communities in Indonesia, etc. etc. headquartered in Cincinnati.  Aside from a vehement interest in animal and eco-defence, check out what this band inspired to come from Cincinnati since the later 90's realiciderex.bandcamp.com Thanx guys, RIP Dwayne.
